Happy New Writing Year!
Every book starts with a first draft and this is where yours begins in 2026.
If you’ve ever thought, “I want to write a book, but I don’t know where to start,” you’re in the right place.
The First Draft Friday Club is a writing space for women, especially entrepreneurs, community leaders, and creatives, who feel called to write a book but don’t want to do it alone or the “traditional” way.
This year, my focus is building the Telladraft MVP, software designed to help women write books by answering thoughtful, podcast-style questions instead of staring at a blank page. The best way to build something meaningful is to have real women using it, shaping it, and writing with it.
That’s where this Club comes in.
Over the past year, I’ve run First Draft Friday four times through as a live program, 12 weeks at a time. Amazing women showed up with ideas for their books and got started. One of those writers is publishing her book this month, and I got to see a sneak peek at her cover today. It was an exciting moment which will never get old!
The First Draft Friday Club exists because over 80% of adult Americans say they want to write a book at some point in their lives and only 1% ever actually publishes a book. I want to change those numbers.
Fridays are intentional. If you can think about your book on a Friday, learn something, answer a prompt, clarify a thought, you often carry that energy into the weekend, when there’s a little more space to reflect, write, and create.
Does that sound like something you would like to do in 2026? If so, join my new Skool to build your brand with a book. You can join it here.
Welcome to the Club.

That statistic of how many people want to write a book versus how many who actually do, blows my mind every time!
I’m back in the writing seat. Had to shut down and just be for the December. I’m eager and excited to make book progress a top goal this year. What’s incredible is how much space I need to create. Mental space. It’s a necessary task and I can see how good for me overall it will be. The embodiment of author … literally I’m all the good kinds of giddy and excited
