Founder Observations
Tap, tap, tap. Is anyone out there?
If you’re a founder, an entrepreneur, or someone who has ever started something from scratch, you probably know this feeling.
You think of an idea.
You pour your heart into it.
You dream about how it’s going to work.
You raise money.
You build it.
You invent something.
You create something.
And then… when it’s time to share it with the world?
Crickets.
Tap, tap, tap.
Is anyone out there?
Suddenly, you’re told you have a marketing problem.
Or a story problem.
Or an advertising problem.
Or a nervous system regulation problem.
Or a business coach problem.
Or a visibility problem.
Or a sales problem.
Or a mindset problem.
Or a scarcity problem.
I’ve heard all of these.
Some of them are probably true.
But some of them?
I think I lean on them so I don’t have to get more effective.
So I don’t have to figure it out.
“Oh, I don’t have the money to move this forward.”
“I’ll just sit here and tread water.”
“I can’t afford the sales training yet.”
Or worse—
I do have the money, I invest it… and it’s a total bomb.
Have you ever done that?
What I’ve learned from years of paying for a job instead of getting paid for a job is this:
It’s all a risk.
Building your own life.
Choosing your own trajectory.
Doing the things you want to do instead of answering to someone else, comes with a price.
Some days, that price feels unbearable.
Other days, it feels like absolute freedom.
So when I sit here and ask, Is anyone out there?
I’m being earnest.
Is anyone reading this?
Does anyone actually care?
Is TellaDraft a good idea?
Or does nobody know what it is, because I haven’t told the story clearly enough?
Do I need to advertise?
Do I need a coach?
Do I need to think bigger?
Do I have an abundance problem?
Maybe.
But here’s what I know for sure:
I want to grow.
I want people who have a story to write it.
I want people who feel called to draft a book… to finally do it.
I want people to change the narrative about the work they do and the lives they’ve lived.
So I’ll keep working.
I’m still here.
And if you’re out there too, if you’ve ever had an idea, a message, a book, or a business you wanted to build, will you join me?
We write on Fridays. Here is the link.
